Choose email over Airmail for those loved ones abroad
Christmas is a time for togetherness, but a lot of families are spread all over the world for the holiday season.
Whether they’re out enjoying a vacation or now living abroad, getting in touch with friends and family through physical Christmas cards can be expensive and time consuming. There’s the annoying customs delays, the ridiculous postal costs, and then the endless waiting for anything to get there. Will it or won’t it arrive in time? There’s always a chance the card will arrive long after the dust has settled for Christmas.
Save yourself the stress and send an ecard instead. They’re especially convenient if you’re ordering a gift through an online store and want your card to arrive at the same time. Rather than spending a lot of money to send a card halfway across the world, you can have an ecard waiting in the recipient’s inbox the morning your gift arrives, totally free.

Bulgarian PM needn’t be a Scrooge…
We were startled to read this week that Boyko Borisov, the wonderfully-named Bulgarian Prime Minister, has ditched sending Christmas cards this year in order to cut government expenditure. What’s the Bulgarian for: “Hello?!”
And they say that politicians are behind the times! The PM clearly needs a heads-up in technology.
According to a statement on their Government’s website, the decision not to send Christmas cards is to avoid unreasonable spending, and they’re also cutting down on purchases for items such as 2010 calendars.
Rather than be a Scrooge, Mr Borisov, you should get yourself onto Ecards.co.uk and keep your Cabinet happy by sending totally free Christmas ecards. Simple to create, arrive immediately, and don’t cost a penny (or whatever the Bulgarian currency is!).

Free Christmas cards to beat the postal strike!
It’s time to implement Plan B with your Christmas cards this year after a union representing postal workers failed to guarantee that the festive season wouldn’t be affected by postal strikes.
And Plan B is the Christmas ecard. Free, personal, eco-friendly, and guaranteed to arrive immediately after you press ‘send’. Sure, you might not be able to string them up above your mantelpiece but what use is a Happy Christmas card that arrives on Tuesday 29th December?!
Ecards.co.uk is streets ahead of the rest when it comes to free ecards; their user-friendly site allows you to quickly flick through the great festive designs, add your own message, and then boom – send as many ecards as you want immediately via the internet airways to your recipient. Postal strikes – what postal strikes?
So with all that money you’ll save by not shelling out on Christmas cards, how are you going to treat yourself?
